Chris Newman, former leader of Napalm Beach/Snow Bud & the Flower People / Boo Frog, presents Chris Newman: BEACHCOMBER
Newman and Naish worked three days in the studio at Seattle's Reciprocal Recording Studio with legendary Jack Endino at the mixing console.
Jack is known for his contribution to the "Grunge" sound of Seattle's early Nineties music explosion.
Chris Newman is a credited contributor to the 80's and early 90's Grunge mania development, made popular by Nirvana, Mudhoney, and (Portland's) Wipers. Greg Sage recorded and promoted Newman's music in the early 80's. Newman's Napalm Beach featured Sam Henry (original Wipers drummer) on drums.
Chris Newman has over thirty recorded albums and singles, cassettes, and various guest performances on other artists releases.

Newman provides the song writing, vocals, guitars, keyboards, and artwork.
Doug Naish is the enthusiastic drummer, who knows when to be brutal and when to be delicate.
Nathan Jorg plays a solid bass for Chris Newman Deluxe Combo, and has worked with Newman for over twenty years as bassist for Snow Bud and the Flower People.
The album, Beachcomber, was given a positive review by PDX's Mercury weekly magazine:
Fri., June 6, 9 p.m. 2014
Napalm Beach's Chris Newman is a local rock 'n' roll icon, but unlike most icons, he's still cutting a relentless path forward like a shark. Fittingly, his new solo record is called Beachcomber, and rather than bringing to mind beach-blanket bingo, its gnarly punk rock evokes black-eyed leviathans chomping down on tanned surfer dudes and their surfboards. Newman and drummer Doug Naish recorded the album with Jack Endino earlier this year, and they've covered an impressive breadth of beachfront property: Beachcomber contains "Planet Caravan"-style sand-dollar psychedelia ("White Sands"), twanging reverb surf-guitar workouts ("Stingray"), and romantic R&B ("Woman and Man"). It'll make for a fine soundtrack to any beachside bonfires you light this summer.
